The Newly Insured Part Two
Nov 8th, 2010
There are many cuts to the current health insurance system and the health care system that will take a few years to implement, but it will happen. What will we be left with in the end? If Congress does not try to amend or repeal this newly enacted health insurance revision, we can expect many changes that will lead us into a single-payer, government-run health insurance system.
Everything you have grown accustomed to will substantially change and even the hospitals and local health care clinics are beginning to take notice of what is yet to come. To think that this all began because there were about thirty million individuals who were either not insured or underinsured and the government wanted to fix the problem.
The sad part is that when all is said and done we will still have about twenty-five million to thirty million individuals who will remain uninsured so where does this leave us. The Medicare health insurance system is being decimated to the tune of half a trillion dollars and more individuals are going to be relegated into Medicaid.
We are not equipped to handle the large mandated influx into the health insurance and health care system. Health insurance providers are also scrambling because they will no longer have the ability to refuse health insurance coverage to individuals and the lifetime cap has been removed which will hurt.
Yet, on the other side of the equation, they will make out fine because now all citizens are mandated by law to carry a health insurance policy. The health insurance policy you decided upon had better suit your health care needs and that of your family members.
If applicable if the Internal Revenue Service decides you need a better, more appropriate health insurance policy, they will demand you change your current health insurance policy or purchase a new one. How will the Internal Revenue Service know what type of health insurance policy is best suited for you?
They will ask and receive copies of all your known medical records from your medical health care provider. When they have completed going through your medical health care records they will tell you what type of health insurance policy you will carry. You will accommodate the request of the Internal Revenue Service.
Those individuals who defy the request of the Internal Revenue Service will receive a monetary penalty. The monetary penalty can go as high as two percent of your annual gross income and that will probably go higher with time.
